Dear Dashers,
Please remember, your acceptance rate does not matter, while completion rate does. Completion rate can not be lower then 80%. If completion rate is lower then 80% your account can be deactivated.
I’ve noticed a lot of people posting recently on different doordash groups that they were deactivated because of the completion rate.
If you are new dasher you might not know the difference between acceptance rate and completion rate.
Acceptance rate is percent of trips you accepted. Completion rate is percent of how many trips/deliveries you actually completed after you accepted them.
When I just started I thought that acceptance rate is as important as completion rate. I wish somebody told me from the beginning that acceptance rate matters only if u want to be a top dasher.
As an independent Contractor only you decide which orders to accept and which to decline. We are not employees of Doordash. We file and pay our own taxes. With all that being said acceptance rate can never be the ground for deactivation.
If you accepted order you better complete it. Sometimes restaurants can be busy and it takes too long for the order to be ready. So we have to unassign. As experienced dashers we all do that. It is normal practice. Just remember to keep your completion rate above 80%.
