“Gig” job like “UberEats” and “Doordash” gives you freedom and flexibility. Only You decide where and when to drive. You make your own schedule and decide which orders to accept and which to decline.
You’ll spend lots of time alone with your favourite music in the comfort of your own car. New routes, new faces. No office routine. Zero annoying people. That is what I like.
Beeing your own Boss comes with anxiety. Be ready to have uncertainty on how much u’ll make. Will that be enough to cover your bills? You will never know for sure.
Your car will require extra care and maintaince. You can get into accident, have flat tire or simply hit something on the road.
Good car insurence is a must.
“UberEats”, “Doordash” is a fun part-time gig. As a full time it gets tricky. You don’t have benefits, like health insurence and etc. Be ready to set money aside for emergencies. Keep track of business expences for tax purposes.
People order food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Weekends are busy. To make decent money be ready to work long hours, including late nights, early mornings and weekends. Still think it’s a job for You?
Flexiable schedule stops to be flexiable. For each 40 hours actively involved in deliveries u’ll have at least 20-40 hours of waiting for the orders. To make good money expect to be on-call for 80+ hours per week.
Markets are different. Know the market you are in. Have realistic expectations!!!!
